1. Consider leaving some of your blooms and plants for the birds to forage and find refuge during the Winter.
2. Consider composting your leaves--provides good mulch and rich nutrients for your soil.
3. Remember to go to the St Louis Botanical Garden often and see both what is growing and how it is growing during the active season months. You will learn great insight just be observing and by asking the Master Gardeners at the Garden's Kemper Center.
